Performance Assessment
"Learning is complex. Assessments should be, too."

Components
The Consortium regards performance assessment as a whole-school based accountability system. To support performance assessment, schools need to implement seven components ranging from establishing a culture of active learning to providing multiple ways for students to express and exhibit learning. In this section you can download information about the components.

Rubrics
Rubrics provide the basis on which to review the quality of student work across four performance tasks: the analytic essay, research paper, science experiment and applied mathematics. Download rubric samples here.

PAR Board
Oversight of the performance assessment system is carried out by an external board which reviews both student work and the process by which is it graded. The Performance Assessment Review Board Inc. is that body.
